Our public schools are in trouble. In tough economic times like these, budgets are being slashed everywhere and our school libraries are really feeling the crunch.
Teachers and librarians are often left with no funds for the acquisition of new books. Many library bookshelves are nearly empty or full of out-dated, tattered and torn books. With conditions like these, how do we expect to inspire kids to love reading and writing?
That's where Culturatti Kids comes in! Part of our mission is to work with teachers and librarians to make sure their libraries are fully-stocked, operational and diverse. We also provide grants to public school teachers who come up with fresh ways to get kids excited about literature.
Hoppa’s Big Move will be an important part of our fundraising efforts for 2010. All of the proceeds from this delightful children’s book are being donated to Culturatti Kids. Our goal is for Hoppa's Big Move to reach all 52 states and grow from there. Will you help us spread the word?
Be sure to leave us a comment here after you get your copy to let us know what you thought of Hoppa. We’d also like to know what’s going on in your community in the way of literary arts education.
